2nd Annual Champions of Easter Seals UCP Golf Tournament

More than $33,000 was raised through the sponsorship and participation in this year's tournament where 72 golfers gathered on Friday, May 19th at the Ballantyne Resort in Charlotte for a great day on the links for the Champions of Easter Seals UCP Celebrity Golf Tournament. Debi Faubion of WSOC TV served as emcee to get the day off to a great start. Kai Watkins was the honorary ambassador to the tournament and had a great time trying her hand at golf and helping to drive the golf cart on a tour of the course.

The golfers enjoyed beautiful weather and learned more about Easter Seals UCP from fact signs placed throughout the course. We were fortunate to have several local retired celebrity athletes join us for the day, including: Dell Curry (Charlotte Hornets), Bobby Jones (Denver Nuggets & Philadelphia 76ers), Bart Koefed (Utah Jazz, Seattle Supersonics & Boston Celtics) and Al Wood (LA Clippers).
